Description
Banana Pudding Cheesecake is a rich and creamy dessert that combines classic banana pudding flavors with smooth cheesecake, layered with vanilla wafers and fresh bananas.
Ingredients
- 2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 24 oz cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup mashed ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup banana pudding mix (prepared and chilled)
- 1 cup whipped cream or whipped topping
- 2 bananas, sliced (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Mix vanilla wafer crumbs with melted butter and press firmly into the bottom of a springform pan.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Mix in vanilla extract, mashed bananas, and sour cream.
- Pour cheesecake batter over the prepared crust.
- Bake for 55–60 minutes or until the center is set.
- Turn off oven and let cheesecake cool inside with the door slightly open.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, spread banana pudding on top, add whipped cream, and garnish with banana slices.
Notes
- Use ripe bananas for best flavor.
- Dip banana slices in lemon juice to prevent browning.
