Description

Banana Split Cheesecake is a creamy baked cheesecake layered with banana flavor, topped with chocolate, strawberries, pineapple, whipped cream, and cherries for a fun dessert inspired by the classic sundae.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1/2 cup diced strawberries
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chocolate syrup
  • 1 cup whipped cream (for topping)
  • Maraschino cherries (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter and press firmly into the bottom of the pan. Bake for 8–10 minutes, then cool.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing just until combined.
  5. Blend in sour cream, vanilla extract, and mashed bananas.
  6. Pour filling over the cooled crust.
  7. Bake for 55–65 minutes until center is set but slightly jiggly.
  8. Turn off oven and let cheesecake cool inside with the door slightly open for 1 hour.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  10. Before serving, top with drained pineapple, strawberries, chocolate, whipped cream, and cherries.

Notes

  • Ensure pineapple is well drained to prevent a soggy topping.
  • Use a water bath for a smoother cheesecake texture.
  • Chill overnight for best slicing results.
