Banana Split Cheesecake is a creamy baked cheesecake layered with banana flavor, topped with chocolate, strawberries, pineapple, whipped cream, and cherries for a fun dessert inspired by the classic sundae.
Ingredients
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 24 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained
- 1/2 cup diced strawberries
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chocolate syrup
- 1 cup whipped cream (for topping)
- Maraschino cherries (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- Mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter and press firmly into the bottom of the pan. Bake for 8–10 minutes, then cool.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing just until combined.
- Blend in sour cream, vanilla extract, and mashed bananas.
- Pour filling over the cooled crust.
- Bake for 55–65 minutes until center is set but slightly jiggly.
- Turn off oven and let cheesecake cool inside with the door slightly open for 1 hour.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, top with drained pineapple, strawberries, chocolate, whipped cream, and cherries.
