Description
Cheesy Jalapeño Ranch Chicken Poppers are crispy, bite-sized chicken pieces mixed with creamy ranch, diced jalapeños, and melted cheese, baked or fried until golden and perfect for dipping.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp ranch seasoning or 1/4 cup ranch dressing
- 1–2 fresh jalapeños, finely diced
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- Oil for frying or cooking spray for baking
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar, mozzarella, ranch seasoning, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Mix until well combined and form into small bite-sized balls.
- Place flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs into separate bowls.
- Coat each popper in flour, dip in egg, then roll in breadcrumbs.
- For extra crispiness, repeat egg and breadcrumb coating.
- To fry: Heat oil to 175°C (350°F) and fry poppers for 2–3 minutes until golden brown.
- To bake: Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F), place poppers on lined tray, spray lightly with oil, and bake 15–18 minutes until crispy.
- Serve warm with ranch or spicy dipping sauce.
Notes
- Remove jalapeño seeds for less heat.
- Freeze poppers for 15–20 minutes before cooking to help hold shape.
- Air fry at 200°C (400°F) for 10–12 minutes as an alternative.
