Description

Pizza Monkey Bread is a pull-apart bread made with bite-sized dough pieces tossed in garlic butter, pizza sauce, mozzarella, and pepperoni, baked together into a cheesy, shareable pizza-style bread.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (16 oz each) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices, chopped
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce (plus extra for dipping)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a loaf pan or bundt pan.
  2. Cut each biscuit into four small pieces and place them in a large bowl.
  3. In a small bowl mix melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt.
  4. Pour the butter mixture over the dough pieces and toss to coat.
  5. Add the shredded mozzarella, chopped pepperoni, and pizza sauce. Gently mix to combine.
  6. Transfer the mixture into the prepared pan, layering evenly.
  7. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
  8. Bake for 30–35 minutes until the bread is golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Let it cool for about 5 minutes, then invert onto a plate.
  10. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • You can add other pizza toppings such as cooked sausage, olives, or bell peppers.
  • Make sure the dough pieces are evenly coated so the flavors distribute well.
  • If the top browns too quickly, loosely cover with foil while baking.
  • Best served warm when the cheese is melted and stretchy.
