Description

A hearty and comforting chicken parmesan pasta made with crispy breaded chicken, tender pasta, rich marinara sauce, and melted cheese all tossed together in one satisfying dish.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Dredge chicken pieces in flour, dip in beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add marinara sauce and Italian seasoning; simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Add cooked pasta and crispy chicken to the sauce and toss to combine.
  7. Transfer mixture to a baking dish.
  8. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake at 190°C (375°F) for 15–20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can use grilled chicken for a lighter version.
  • Whole wheat pasta works well for added fiber.
  • Serve with a side salad or garlic bread.
