Description

Juicy chili lime steak bites seared to perfection and coated in a zesty, slightly spicy marinade, perfect for a quick protein-packed meal.

Ingredients

  • 400g beef steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Pat steak pieces dry and season with chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat.
  3. Add steak bites in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to desired doneness.
  4. Reduce heat to medium, add butter and minced garlic, and sauté for about 1 minute.
  5. Drizzle lime juice and sprinkle lime zest over the steak bites.
  6. Toss well to coat evenly.
  7. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use high heat for a good sear and avoid overcrowding the pan.
  • Let the steak rest briefly before serving for better juiciness.
  • Adjust chili powder for desired spice level.
  • Pairs well with rice, salad, or roasted vegetables.
