Description
A decadent cinnamon roll apple lasagna made with layers of spiced apples, creamy filling, and cinnamon rolls, baked until warm and gooey.
Ingredients
- 2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls, quartered (icing reserved)
- 4 cups apples, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, combine apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, cornstarch, and butter.
- Cook over medium heat until apples are tender and mixture thickens; set aside.
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream until smooth and thick.
- Grease a baking dish.
- Layer half of the cinnamon roll pieces on the bottom.
- Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over cinnamon rolls.
- Spoon half of the apple mixture on top.
- Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
- Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Cool slightly, drizzle with reserved icing, and serve warm.
Notes
- Best served warm.
- You can use Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples.
- Add chopped nuts for extra crunch.
