Description

A decadent cinnamon roll apple lasagna made with layers of spiced apples, creamy filling, and cinnamon rolls, baked until warm and gooey.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls, quartered (icing reserved)
  • 4 cups apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, cornstarch, and butter.
  3. Cook over medium heat until apples are tender and mixture thickens; set aside.
  4. In a bowl, beat cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream until smooth and thick.
  5. Grease a baking dish.
  6. Layer half of the cinnamon roll pieces on the bottom.
  7. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over cinnamon rolls.
  8. Spoon half of the apple mixture on top.
  9. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
  10. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  11. Cool slightly, drizzle with reserved icing, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Best served warm.
  • You can use Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples.
  • Add chopped nuts for extra crunch.
