Ingredients
- 12 oz fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 8 oz lump crab meat, picked over
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Optional: lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Cook fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente; reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and drain.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- Add cooked fettuccine to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
- Gently fold in crab meat and warm through for 1–2 minutes.
- Add reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use fresh lump crab meat for best flavor.
- Do not boil the sauce after adding cheese to prevent separation.
