Description

A creamy and comforting lasagna layered with tender pasta, savory ham, rich cheese, and a velvety white sauce. This twist on classic lasagna is perfect for a hearty family meal.


Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups cooked ham, diced or sliced
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook briefly.
  4. Stir in flour and cook for 1–2 minutes to form a roux.
  5. Gradually whisk in milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Remove from heat.
  7. Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil.
  8. Spread a layer of sauce, then noodles, ham, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
  9. Repeat layers, finishing with sauce and remaining cheese on top.
  10. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  11. Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  12. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

  • Use leftover ham for convenience.
