Description

Crispy baked cauliflower fries tossed in bright lemon zest and savory garlic, creating a healthy and flavorful snack or side dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 large head cauliflower, cut into fry-sized strips
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or cooking spray
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Set up breading stations: flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and panko mixed with garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a third.
  3. Dredge cauliflower strips in flour, dip in egg, then coat with seasoned panko.
  4. Arrange coated cauliflower on baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Lightly drizzle or spray with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
  7. While hot, toss gently with minced garlic, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
  8. Sprinkle with Parmesan if using and serve immediately.

  • For extra crispiness, use an air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes.
