Ingredients
- 1 large head cauliflower, cut into fry-sized strips
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil or cooking spray
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Set up breading stations: flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and panko mixed with garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a third.
- Dredge cauliflower strips in flour, dip in egg, then coat with seasoned panko.
- Arrange coated cauliflower on baking sheet in a single layer.
- Lightly drizzle or spray with olive oil.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
- While hot, toss gently with minced garlic, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan if using and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, use an air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes.
- Serve with garlic aioli or yogurt dip.
