Ingredients
- 2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter, cubed
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and quickly sear the steak bites until browned on all sides.
- Transfer the steak bites to the crockpot.
- Add garlic, soy sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Stir gently to combine, then add butter cubes on top.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until steak is tender.
- If a thicker sauce is desired, mix cornstarch with water and stir into the crockpot during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or with vegetables.
Notes
- Sirloin can be substituted with chuck steak for extra tenderness.
