Description

Extra crispy double-breaded chicken breasts coated in a sticky, sweet, and savory honey garlic sauce for a satisfying crunch and bold flavor.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Slice chicken breasts horizontally to create thinner cutlets.
  2. Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Dredge each piece in flour, dip into beaten eggs, then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Repeat the egg and breadcrumb step for a double coating.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Fry chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
  7. In a saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, and apple cider vinegar over medium heat.
  8. Bring to a simmer and stir in cornstarch slurry until thickened.
  9. Drizzle or brush honey garlic sauce over the crispy chicken.
  10. Serve immediately while hot and crunchy.

Notes

  • Use panko breadcrumbs for maximum crunch.
  • Serve with rice or roasted vegetables.
  • Sauce can be served on the side to keep chicken extra crispy.
