Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
- Slice chicken breasts horizontally to create thinner cutlets.
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Dredge each piece in flour, dip into beaten eggs, then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Repeat the egg and breadcrumb step for a double coating.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- In a saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, and apple cider vinegar over medium heat.
- Bring to a simmer and stir in cornstarch slurry until thickened.
- Drizzle or brush honey garlic sauce over the crispy chicken.
- Serve immediately while hot and crunchy.
