Description
An elegant tiramisu tart featuring a crisp coffee-infused crust, layered with creamy mascarpone filling and dusted with cocoa powder for a refined Italian-inspired dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups crushed chocolate cookies or graham crackers
- 5 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tbsp instant espresso powder
- 1 tbsp hot water
- 8 oz (225 g) mascarpone cheese, softened
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup brewed espresso, cooled
- 12–15 ladyfinger cookies
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix crushed cookies with melted butter and dissolved espresso powder until combined.
- Press mixture firmly into a tart pan and bake for 8–10 minutes. Cool completely.
- In a bowl, beat heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- In another bowl, mix mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Fold whipped cream gently into mascarpone mixture.
- Lightly dip ladyfingers into cooled espresso and arrange over the cooled crust.
- Spread mascarpone filling evenly over ladyfingers.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Dust generously with cocoa powder before serving.
Notes
- Do not soak ladyfingers too long to prevent sogginess.
- Chill overnight for best flavor and texture.
- Can add a splash of coffee liqueur for a traditional twist.
