Description

A light and refreshing fresh fruit trifle layered with fluffy cake, creamy vanilla pudding, whipped topping, and assorted fresh fruits.


Ingredients

  • 1 prepared pound cake or angel food cake, cubed
  • 2 cups mixed fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, pineapple, grapes)
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
  • 2 tbsp sugar (optional, for fruit)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk pudding mix with cold milk until thickened.
  2. Fold half of the whipped topping into the pudding; set aside.
  3. If desired, gently toss fruit with sugar.
  4. In a trifle dish or glass bowl, layer half of the cake cubes on the bottom.
  5. Top with half of the pudding mixture.
  6. Add a layer of mixed fresh fruit.
  7. Repeat layers with remaining cake, pudding, and fruit.
  8. Finish with remaining whipped topping on top.
  9. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
