Fudgy and moist Greek Yogurt Brownies made with creamy Greek yogurt for a lighter twist on the classic dessert, delivering rich chocolate flavor with less fat and extra protein.
Ingredients
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
- Stir in the Greek yogurt until smooth.
- Sift in cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, and salt. Gently fold until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow brownies to cool completely before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Do not overmix the batter to keep brownies fudgy.
- Use full-fat Greek yogurt for richer texture or low-fat for lighter option.
- Add nuts for extra crunch if desired.
