Description

Fudgy and moist Greek Yogurt Brownies made with creamy Greek yogurt for a lighter twist on the classic dessert, delivering rich chocolate flavor with less fat and extra protein.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  4. Stir in the Greek yogurt until smooth.
  5. Sift in cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, and salt. Gently fold until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Allow brownies to cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the batter to keep brownies fudgy.
  • Use full-fat Greek yogurt for richer texture or low-fat for lighter option.
  • Add nuts for extra crunch if desired.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
