Ingredients
- 8 lb bone-in ham
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 cup chicken broth or water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Place the ham in a roasting pan, flat side down.
- In a bowl, mix honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, olive oil, garlic, rosemary, pepper, and cloves.
- Brush half of the glaze evenly over the ham.
- Pour chicken broth or water into the bottom of the roasting pan.
- Cover loosely with foil and roast for 1 hour.
- Remove foil, brush with remaining glaze, and continue roasting for another 60–75 minutes, basting occasionally.
- Roast until the ham is heated through and caramelized on the outside.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Basting helps keep the ham moist and flavorful.
- Fresh rosemary provides the best aroma, but dried can be used if needed.
- Leftovers are excellent for sandwiches or omelets.
