A light and flavorful dish featuring tender cod fillets cooked in a rich lemon butter sauce, perfect for a quick and healthy meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 cod fillets
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. Pat cod fillets dry and season with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add cod fillets and cook for 3–4 minutes per side until flaky and cooked through.
  4. Remove fish and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, melt remaining butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  6. Add lemon juice and zest, stirring to combine.
  7. Return cod to the pan and spoon the sauce over the fillets.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
