Description

Lemon Tiramisu is a bright and refreshing twist on the classic Italian dessert, featuring layers of lemon-soaked ladyfingers and a luscious mascarpone cream infused with fresh citrus flavor.

Ingredients

  • 24 ladyfinger biscuits
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 250 g mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup water (for lemon syrup)
  • Extra lemon zest for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine lemon juice, water, and granulated sugar. Heat gently until sugar dissolves. Let cool.
  2. In a bowl, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  3. In another bowl, mix mascarpone, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon zest until smooth.
  4. Fold whipped cream gently into mascarpone mixture.
  5. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled lemon syrup.
  6. Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in a serving dish.
  7. Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the layer.
  8. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and remaining cream.
  9. Smooth the top and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  10. Garnish with lemon zest before serving.

Notes

  • Do not oversoak ladyfingers to avoid sogginess.
  • Chill overnight for best texture and flavor.
  • Add a touch of limoncello to the syrup for an adult version.
