Marry Me Chicken is a rich and creamy skillet chicken dish made with tender pan-seared chicken breasts simmered in a luscious sun-dried tomato parmesan cream sauce. It’s comforting, elegant, and perfect for special dinners or date nights.
Ingredients
- 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise to create thinner cutlets. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add sun-dried tomatoes, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Mix in Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer until sauce thickens.
- Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over it. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve warm.
Notes
- Serve with pasta, mashed potatoes, or rice.
- You can substitute half-and-half for a lighter sauce.
