Description
Monte Cristo Sliders are mini baked sandwiches made with soft rolls stuffed with ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese, brushed with a buttery Dijon glaze and baked until warm and melty, then lightly dusted with powdered sugar for a sweet-savory finish.
Ingredients
- 12 slider rolls (Hawaiian rolls)
- 6 slices deli ham
- 6 slices deli turkey
- 6 slices Swiss cheese
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Powdered sugar, for topping
- Raspberry jam or preserves, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in the baking dish.
- Layer ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese evenly over the rolls. Place the top halves of the rolls on top.
- In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Dijon mustard, honey, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Brush the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the sliders.
- Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 5–10 minutes, until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Serve with raspberry jam for a classic Monte Cristo touch.
- You can substitute Gruyère for Swiss cheese if desired.
- Best enjoyed warm and fresh from the oven.
