Oven Baked Dill Pickle Chicken Wings are crispy, tangy, and flavorful wings marinated in dill pickle juice, seasoned with herbs and spices, then baked to golden perfection.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken wings, split and tips removed
- 1 cup dill pickle juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried dill
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder (for crispiness)
- Fresh dill for garnish (optional)
- Ranch or blue cheese dressing for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Place chicken wings in a large bowl or zip-top bag and pour dill pickle juice over them. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or up to 8 hours.
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Lightly grease the rack.
- Drain wings and pat completely dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, toss wings with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, and baking powder until evenly coated.
- Arrange wings in a single layer on the wire rack.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until wings are crispy and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Broil for 2–3 minutes at the end if extra crispiness is desired.
- Garnish with fresh dill and serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing.

- Patting the wings completely dry is key for crispiness.
- Do not substitute baking soda for baking powder.
- Marinating overnight enhances the pickle flavor.
