Description

These soft, fluffy donuts are coated in a simple sugar glaze, making them the perfect treat for breakfast, snacks, or any occasion. Easy to make and absolutely delicious!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional, for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a donut pan or lightly spray it with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon (if using).
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each mold about 3/4 full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a donut comes out clean.
  7. While the donuts are baking, mix 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon (if using) in a shallow bowl.
  8. Once the donuts are done, allow them to cool slightly before removing them from the pan.
  9. While the donuts are still warm, roll them in the sugar mixture to coat them evenly.
  10. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.

Notes

  • If you don’t have a donut pan, you can make these as donut holes by using a mini muffin pan.
  • For extra flavor, you can add a dash of nutmeg to the batter or drizzle with a simple glaze.
  • These are best enjoyed fresh, but you can freeze them for later use.
