Description
A savory, flavorful dish combining tender mushrooms and cauliflower, sautéed in butter and garlic, perfect as a side dish or light meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb mushrooms, sliced
- 1 small head of cauliflower, cut into florets
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt butter.
- Add sliced mushrooms and cauliflower florets to the skillet. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until mushrooms release their moisture and cauliflower begins to soften.
- Add minced garlic, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir and cook for another 2–3 minutes until the garlic becomes fragrant and the cauliflower is tender.
- If using, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the vegetables and stir to coat. Let it melt for 1–2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a splash of lemon juice or balsamic vinegar at the end.
- Feel free to use other herbs, such as rosemary or oregano, to customize the flavor.
- Serve as a side dish with grilled meats or as a light vegetarian meal.
