Description

A flavorful spicy salmon sushi bake made with seasoned rice, creamy spicy salmon, and classic sushi toppings, baked until warm and bubbly.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 lb fresh salmon, skin removed and cubed
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon furikake seasoning
  • Nori sheets for serving


Instructions

  1. Rinse sushi rice until water runs clear, then cook with water according to package instructions.
  2. Mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt; fold into cooked rice and set aside.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. In a bowl, mix salmon, mayonnaise, sriracha, soy sauce, sesame oil, and cream cheese until well combined.
  5. Spread the seasoned rice evenly into a greased baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle furikake seasoning over the rice.
  7. Spread the spicy salmon mixture evenly on top.
  8. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until salmon is cooked and bubbly.
  9. Remove from oven and garnish with green onions.
  10. Scoop with nori sheets and serve warm.

Notes

  • Adjust sriracha to control spice level.
  • Use freshly cooked rice for best texture.
  • Can be topped with avocado or cucumber after baking.
