Ingredients
- 400g beef steak tips (sirloin or flank), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 200g mushrooms, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme (dried or fresh)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season steak tips with salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add steak tips in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and add sliced onions. Cook for 5-6 minutes until softened and slightly caramelized.
- Add mushrooms and cook for another 4-5 minutes until browned and tender.
- Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
- Return steak tips to the skillet and simmer for 2-3 minutes until heated through and coated in the sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
