Description
A bold and savory surf and turf noodle stir-fry featuring tender steak, juicy shrimp, and noodles tossed in a rich garlic-soy sauce.
Ingredients
- 8 oz flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
- 8 oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz egg noodles or lo mein noodles
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup snap peas or broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat.
- Add sliced steak and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until browned; remove and set aside.
- Add remaining oil and cook shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side until pink; remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add garlic and ginger and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add bell pepper and snap peas; stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until crisp-tender.
- Return steak and shrimp to the pan.
- Add cooked noodles, soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper.
- Toss everything together and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until well coated and heated through.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- Slice steak against the grain for tenderness.
- Have all ingredients prepped before cooking, as stir-frying is fast.
- Adjust sauce amounts to taste.
