Description

A bold and savory surf and turf noodle stir-fry featuring tender steak, juicy shrimp, and noodles tossed in a rich garlic-soy sauce.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz egg noodles or lo mein noodles
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup snap peas or broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat.
  3. Add sliced steak and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until browned; remove and set aside.
  4. Add remaining oil and cook shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side until pink; remove and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, add garlic and ginger and sauté for 30 seconds.
  6. Add bell pepper and snap peas; stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until crisp-tender.
  7. Return steak and shrimp to the pan.
  8. Add cooked noodles, soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper.
  9. Toss everything together and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until well coated and heated through.
  10. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Slice steak against the grain for tenderness.
  • Have all ingredients prepped before cooking, as stir-frying is fast.
