Description
A quick and flavorful teriyaki chicken stir fry with tender chicken, crisp vegetables, and a glossy sweet-savory sauce served perfectly over rice or noodles.
Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken breast (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cups mixed vegetables (broccoli, bell peppers, carrots, snap peas)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated)
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Cooked rice or noodles for serving
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken and cook until browned and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add vegetables and stir-fry for 4–5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar.
- Return chicken to the pan and pour in the sauce.
- Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens.
- Drizzle with sesame oil and toss to combine.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and serve over rice or noodles.
Notes
- Use fresh vegetables for best texture and flavor.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey.
- Do not overcook vegetables to keep them crisp.
