Description

A quick and flavorful teriyaki chicken stir fry with tender chicken, crisp vegetables, and a glossy sweet-savory sauce served perfectly over rice or noodles.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (broccoli, bell peppers, carrots, snap peas)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated)
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving


Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add chicken and cook until browned and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds.
  4. Add vegetables and stir-fry for 4–5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar.
  6. Return chicken to the pan and pour in the sauce.
  7. Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens.
  8. Drizzle with sesame oil and toss to combine.
  9. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • Use fresh vegetables for best texture and flavor.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey.
  • Do not overcook vegetables to keep them crisp.
