Description
A rich and gooey chocolate chip cookie pie with a buttery crust and soft, chewy center loaded with melty chocolate chips—perfect served warm with ice cream.
Ingredients
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
- 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and crimp edges as desired.
- In a large bowl, whisk melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until combined.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- Stir in flour and salt until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if using.
- Pour filling into prepared pie crust and spread evenly.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes until top is golden and center is set but slightly soft.
- Cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- Cover crust edges with foil if browning too quickly.
- Do not overbake for a gooey center.
- Delicious topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
