Description

A rich and gooey chocolate chip cookie pie with a buttery crust and soft, chewy center loaded with melty chocolate chips—perfect served warm with ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
  • 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and crimp edges as desired.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until combined.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  5. Stir in flour and salt until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if using.
  7. Pour filling into prepared pie crust and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 40–45 minutes until top is golden and center is set but slightly soft.
  9. Cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
  10. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Cover crust edges with foil if browning too quickly.
  • Do not overbake for a gooey center.
  • Delicious topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
