Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow butter cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant banana pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup crushed vanilla wafers
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • Extra vanilla wafers and banana slices for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare cake batter by mixing cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and 1 cup milk until smooth.
  3. Pour batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 28-32 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Allow cake to cool completely.
  5. In a bowl, whisk banana pudding mix with 2 cups cold milk until thickened.
  6. In another bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  7. Fold whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture.
  8. Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled cake.
  9. Layer sliced bananas over the cream layer.
  10. Spread banana pudding evenly on top.
  11. Sprinkle crushed vanilla wafers over the pudding layer.
  12. Drizzle caramel sauce generously over the top.
  13. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
  14. Garnish with extra vanilla wafers and banana slices before serving.
