Description

Chocolate Rolled Crepes are thin, delicate crepes filled with rich chocolate cream and rolled into an elegant dessert perfect for breakfast, brunch, or sweet treats.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whipped cream or chocolate spread
  • 1/2 cup melted chocolate for drizzling
  • Powdered sugar for garnish
  • Fresh berries for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth and lump-free.
  3. Let the batter rest for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Heat a lightly greased nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  5. Pour a small amount of batter into the skillet and swirl to form a thin layer.
  6. Cook for 1-2 minutes until edges loosen, then flip and cook another 30 seconds.
  7. Repeat with remaining batter.
  8. Spread whipped cream or chocolate spread over each crepe.
  9. Roll crepes tightly and place seam-side down on a serving plate.
  10. Drizzle with melted chocolate and dust with powdered sugar.
  11. Serve with fresh berries if desired.

Notes

  • Allowing the batter to rest helps create tender crepes.
  • Use a nonstick skillet for easier flipping.
  • Crepes can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 2 days.
  • Add sliced bananas or strawberries inside for extra flavor.
  • Serve warm for the best texture.
