Description
Tender steak bites simmered in a rich and creamy mushroom sauce—all made in one skillet for a comforting, restaurant-style dinner packed with flavor.
Ingredients
- 500g steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 250g mushrooms, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Instructions
- Season steak pieces with salt, black pepper, and thyme.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat.
- Sear steak pieces for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onions until soft.
- Add mushrooms and cook until browned and tender.
- Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Pour in beef broth and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Add heavy cream and parmesan cheese, stirring until smooth.
- Return steak to the skillet and coat in the creamy mushroom sauce.
- Simmer for 3-4 minutes until heated through and sauce thickens slightly.
- Garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
- Do not overcook steak to keep it tender.
- Use freshly grated parmesan for the best flavor.
- Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta.
