Ingredients

  • 500g steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 250g mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley


Instructions

  1. Season steak pieces with salt, black pepper, and thyme.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat.
  3. Sear steak pieces for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onions until soft.
  5. Add mushrooms and cook until browned and tender.
  6. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  7. Pour in beef broth and simmer for 2 minutes.
  8. Add heavy cream and parmesan cheese, stirring until smooth.
  9. Return steak to the skillet and coat in the creamy mushroom sauce.
  10. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until heated through and sauce thickens slightly.
  11. Garnish with parsley before serving.
