Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for whipped cream)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease 4 ramekins.
  2. Melt butter and chocolate chips together until smooth.
  3. In a bowl, whisk eggs, egg yolks, and sugar until thick and pale.
  4. Stir melted chocolate into the egg mixture.
  5. Add flour, vanilla extract, and salt; mix until combined.
  6. Divide batter into ramekins.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set but centers are soft.
  8. Meanwhile, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  9. Let cakes cool for 1 minute, then invert onto plates.
  10. Serve immediately with whipped cream.
