Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 large eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for whipped cream)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease 4 ramekins.
- Melt butter and chocolate chips together until smooth.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, egg yolks, and sugar until thick and pale.
- Stir melted chocolate into the egg mixture.
- Add flour, vanilla extract, and salt; mix until combined.
- Divide batter into ramekins.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set but centers are soft.
- Meanwhile, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
- Let cakes cool for 1 minute, then invert onto plates.
- Serve immediately with whipped cream.
