Soft and fluffy easy cinnamon rolls filled with a sweet cinnamon sugar swirl and topped with a creamy glaze—perfect for breakfast or dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons softened butter (for filling)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix and knead into a soft dough.
- Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll out dough into a rectangle.
- Spread softened butter over the dough.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for 20 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
- Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make glaze.
- Drizzle glaze over warm rolls and serve.
Notes
- Use warm (not hot) milk to activate yeast.
- Do not overbake to keep rolls soft.
- Add cream cheese frosting for extra richness.
- Let rolls cool slightly before glazing.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
