Eggless Tiramisu is a creamy and elegant no-bake Italian dessert layered with coffee-soaked ladyfingers and a rich mascarpone filling made without eggs for a lighter yet indulgent treat.
Ingredients
- 250g mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups strong brewed coffee or espresso, cooled
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 package ladyfinger biscuits (savoiardi)
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder for dusting
- 50g dark chocolate, grated (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine cooled coffee with 2 tablespoons sugar and stir until dissolved.
- In a large mixing bowl, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- In another bowl, mix mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Fold whipped cream gently into the mascarpone mixture until light and creamy.
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture without soaking too long.
- Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture evenly over the ladyfingers.
- Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and remaining cream mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight for best texture.
- Dust generously with cocoa powder before serving.
- Top with grated dark chocolate if desired.
Notes
- Do not oversoak ladyfingers or the dessert may become soggy.
- Chilling overnight enhances the flavor and texture.
- Use high-quality espresso for authentic flavor.
- Mascarpone should be cold but softened slightly before mixing.
