Description

A classic homemade peach cobbler made with juicy peaches and a buttery golden topping—warm, comforting, and perfect served with ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, combine peaches, granulated sugar, brown sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  3. Pour peach mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Stir in milk and melted butter until just combined.
  6. Spoon batter evenly over the peaches.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes until topping is golden brown and peaches are bubbling.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
  9. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.

Notes

  • Fresh ripe peaches provide the best flavor.
  • You can use canned or frozen peaches if needed.
  • Do not overmix the batter.
  • Add nutmeg for extra warmth.
  • Best served warm on the day it’s baked.
