Ingredients
- 6 cups fresh peaches, sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, combine peaches, granulated sugar, brown sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
- Pour peach mixture into a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir in milk and melted butter until just combined.
- Spoon batter evenly over the peaches.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until topping is golden brown and peaches are bubbling.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.
