Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pound cake or sponge cake, cubed
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine sliced strawberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Let sit for 10–15 minutes to release juices.
  2. In another bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  3. In serving cups, layer cake cubes at the bottom.
  4. Add a layer of macerated strawberries with juice.
  5. Top with whipped cream.
  6. Repeat layers until cups are filled, finishing with whipped cream on top.
  7. Garnish with extra strawberries if desired.
  8. Chill for 30 minutes or serve immediately.
