Description

Juicy and flavorful chicken kofta served with a creamy garlic yogurt sauce—perfectly spiced, tender, and ideal for wraps, rice bowls, or grilled platters.


Ingredients

  • 500g ground chicken
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (for sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill or parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground chicken, grated onion, garlic, parsley, paprika, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix gently until combined.
  3. Shape mixture into small logs or oval koftas.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet or grill pan over medium heat.
  5. Cook koftas for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked.
  6. In another bowl, mix Greek yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, and dill or parsley.
  7. Serve chicken kofta warm with the garlic yogurt sauce.
  8. Garnish with extra herbs if desired.

Notes

  • Wet hands slightly when shaping koftas to prevent sticking.
  • Do not overmix the chicken mixture to keep koftas tender.
  • Serve with pita bread, rice, or salad.
  • Add chili flakes for extra spice.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
