Description
Juicy and flavorful chicken kofta served with a creamy garlic yogurt sauce—perfectly spiced, tender, and ideal for wraps, rice bowls, or grilled platters.
Ingredients
- 500g ground chicken
- 1 small onion, grated
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced (for sauce)
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill or parsley, chopped
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground chicken, grated onion, garlic, parsley, paprika, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper.
- Mix gently until combined.
- Shape mixture into small logs or oval koftas.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet or grill pan over medium heat.
- Cook koftas for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked.
- In another bowl, mix Greek yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, and dill or parsley.
- Serve chicken kofta warm with the garlic yogurt sauce.
- Garnish with extra herbs if desired.
Notes
- Wet hands slightly when shaping koftas to prevent sticking.
- Do not overmix the chicken mixture to keep koftas tender.
- Serve with pita bread, rice, or salad.
- Add chili flakes for extra spice.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
