Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and a little sugar. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- Add melted butter, eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla bean paste, and salt.
- Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms.
- Knead dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled.
- Roll dough into a large rectangle.
- Spread softened butter over the dough.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the butter.
- Roll dough tightly into a log and slice into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
- Bake rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make glaze.
- Drizzle glaze over warm cinnamon rolls before serving.
