Description

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and a little sugar. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla bean paste, and salt.
  3. Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled.
  6. Roll dough into a large rectangle.
  7. Spread softened butter over the dough.
  8. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the butter.
  9. Roll dough tightly into a log and slice into rolls.
  10. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
  11. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
  12. Bake rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  13. Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make glaze.
  14. Drizzle glaze over warm cinnamon rolls before serving.
