Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture alternately with milk, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  7. Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  8. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and heavy cream until smooth.
  9. Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the batter and gently swirl.
  10. Sprinkle dark chocolate chips and milk chocolate chips over the top.
  11. Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the edges are set and the center remains slightly fudgy.
  12. Cool completely before slicing.
  13. Garnish with chocolate shavings if desired and serve.
