Description

Tender, juicy BBQ ribs made at home with a flavorful dry rub and a rich barbecue sauce, slow-cooked to perfection for a smoky, fall-off-the-bone experience.

Ingredients

  • 1 rack pork ribs (about 1.5–2 kg)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 150°C (300°F).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat dry.
  3. Rub olive oil over the ribs.
  4. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne.
  5. Coat the ribs evenly with the dry rub.
  6. Wrap ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place on a baking tray.
  7. Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.
  8. Remove ribs from oven and carefully unwrap.
  9. Mix BBQ sauce with apple cider vinegar and brush generously over ribs.
  10. Grill on medium heat or broil in oven for 5–10 minutes until caramelized.
  11. Slice and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra smoky flavor, add liquid smoke to the BBQ sauce.
  • Marinate ribs with the dry rub overnight for deeper flavor.
  • You can finish ribs on an outdoor grill for better char.
  • Serve with coleslaw or fries for a complete meal.
