Description
Tender, juicy BBQ ribs made at home with a flavorful dry rub and a rich barbecue sauce, slow-cooked to perfection for a smoky, fall-off-the-bone experience.
Ingredients
- 1 rack pork ribs (about 1.5–2 kg)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 150°C (300°F).
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat dry.
- Rub olive oil over the ribs.
- In a bowl, mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne.
- Coat the ribs evenly with the dry rub.
- Wrap ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place on a baking tray.
- Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.
- Remove ribs from oven and carefully unwrap.
- Mix BBQ sauce with apple cider vinegar and brush generously over ribs.
- Grill on medium heat or broil in oven for 5–10 minutes until caramelized.
- Slice and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra smoky flavor, add liquid smoke to the BBQ sauce.
- Marinate ribs with the dry rub overnight for deeper flavor.
- You can finish ribs on an outdoor grill for better char.
- Serve with coleslaw or fries for a complete meal.
